Mountain biking

Tours follow roads and paths with moderate until steep gradients. Advanced riding skills, bike control and sporting condition are the requirements for program participation.

Our Level II tours in the prefecture of Rethymnon, Crete:

• Arsani
  This is our "test tour" - one through the fantastic hinterland of RETHYMNON. The small mountain villages with their earthly tavernas tempt us to take a rest. The tour ends with a breathtaking descent back to the north coast. Distance: 50 km / 720 m Altitude gain
• Margarites
  A relaxing tour to MARGARITES, the Mecca of pottery and ceramics. The ancient olive groves which we ride through give us the feeling of Crete's timelessness. Distance: 53 km / 760 m Altitude gain
• Melidoni
  Through endless ancient olive groves we follow the path to the MELIDONI CAVE, one of the biggest and most interesting on Crete. After a short expedition into cave, famous because of its history and stalactites, we head back to the MTB center along the north coast. Distance: 57 km / 900 m Altitude gain
• Fantastico
  From ARSANI we climb mostly on gravel tracks up to Mount GARGANI (700 m) and take a difficult downhill directly into the valley of AMARI. After crossing the PRASSANO river-bed we climb again to an altitude of 450 m in order to return to RETHYMNON on one of Crete's hardest downhills. Distance: 53 km / 1.100 m Altitude gain
• Thronos
  A fantastic biking experience. RETHYMNON to THRONOS means intriguing climbs and breathtaking descends through the spectacular mountains and through untouched villages. Both the smooth road sections and hard tracks require good bike control. Distance: 83 km / 1.750 m Altitude gain
• Lefka Ori Crossing
  The WHITE MOUNTAINS, the wildest and the most aggressive mountain range of Crete fulfill every biking dream. We set at 700 m and cross the SFAKIA. We are passing lonely settlements on the way from ASIGONIA to ARGIROUPOLIS, where we take a break by the old water well. In KATO POROS we decide on a way home, depending on wishes and fitness. Distance: 90 km / 1.900 m Altitude gain
